Care Beyond Barriers
Meet Mrs. Mary. At 88 years old, she was my very first patient during my first mission trip to Ifugao, Philippines in 2024, as part of a multi-specialty surgical team providing free care to the region. She had a large pelvic mass, having waited years just for the chance to be considered for surgery—something many patients in this medically underserved area do, often enduring an 8-hour bus ride and waiting in long lines for a single annual visit.
The week before leaving for mission in January 2026, I felt utterly devastated diagnosing advanced cervical cancer in my private practice, thinking this doesn't happen in this country. Then, halfway across the world in Ifugao, I was consulted on a patient with a pelvic mass obstructing her bladder. It, too, was advanced cervical cancer. Seeing the exact same devastation across oceans was the moment I felt a calling to action.
That is when The Laureta Foundation was born. We exist to bridge the gap in providing free preventive care for the underserved. Please partner with us by donating to this valuable cause and helping us protect women's lives.

Preventive Healthcare Initiatives
At this time, our primary mission is to support and maintain our partnership with the Ifugao Medical and Maternity Clinic in the Philippines as we work to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer in the region. Through this partnership, we provide free Pap smear screenings for women ages 21–65, promoting early detection, prevention, and improved women’s health outcomes
